Following a £750,000 refit The Goods Yard opened in March 2008 on the site of the former Railway Hotel, Broadstone.

Under the watchful eye of the manager, Jenny Leeder formerly of the Mansion House, this fantastic free house offers a completely remodelled traditional bar and restaurant, with leather sofas, real log fires, and a large outside terrace. Our team offer all our customers a very warm and friendly welcome to what is the best free house pub in Broadstone. There are no televisions, game machines or gimmicks just real ales, real food and real people in a traditional and charming environment.

The new name for the pub is based on historic research. In 1898 when the Railway Hotel opened its doors the railway was literally across the road. 108 years later in 2006 and not only had the railway gone, but the now renamed Broadstone Hotel had lost its way and was closed by its owners. Following a massive investment by new owners and the work of a team of skilled craftsmen the pub has been restored and is now going like an express train!
